Snow in Paris

Oh my, we had snow here in Paris yesterday. It wasn't nice fluffy stuff - it was wet and melty - but definitely snow.

Poor flowers.

I know, this looks an awful lot like the pic right up above it, but I liked both shots.

The street right in front of our building is only one lane. So when deliveries get made and traffic backs up, the other drivers sometimes get cranky. The snow never did accumulate.

Luckily I only had to go out briefly for a grocery run, which I have to do practically every day here.

These pictures of Paris with snow falling are so beautiful. I will really miss your pictures of Paris when you go back to the States.

I love the look of the snow against the stone. If you were down here those shutters would be firmly shut against the cold. No snow here yet, but if you've got it, it can't be far away.

French traffic jams are great!

Beautiful! But wet sticky snow is not for me. Ours is light and fluffy and you do not get soaking wet while out in it. The traffic jam is the real Paris.

In about 1 1/2 weeks my husband & I will be in Paris. We're leaving Texas on Friday & will take a boat trip up the Rhone from Arles to Lyon and then on to Paris by train. It is neat seeing the photos of your city. We're planning to layer-up & hope to keep warm as we cruise during Christmastime. Thanks for the photos. I happened across your blog & check in often.

Wet or not...snow in December...how wonderful!

Bonnie a "Hoogie" is a sandwich left in communal refrigerator (like the workplace) until the edges are green....they generally are not claimed by anyone in the office.

My verification word is "norkin"...

I love snow!! Probably because we only get it once every few years or so, but it looks SO pretty in Paris :)

Paris looks darn good to me even on a gloomy day, even in the snow. Enjoy...

Your photos have the essence of what Paris really is, even the snow.

Oh, how I miss living in Paris! Selfishly, I will be sad when you leave. While your quilts are always a source of inspiration to me, your Paris photos remind me of a happy, carefree time in my life that will always be a warm sunshine spot in my heart!
I love your blog, thank you for all your posts and photographs!
Cheers,
Dionne

That's my idea of perfect snow - all the gorgeousness, but no road or pavement problems!

Happy New Year! What a beautiful day in Paris :) On our side of the world, it's still warm (but then, it never really gets "cold" in the Philippines :D)
