Feeling Overwhelmed By All the Love

I have some of the sweetest dearest blog friends it is possible to have. Ya'all made me cry today, feeling all appreciated and loved.

And it IS all overwhelming! Rather than write a blog post that will take me another 10 hours to write, I'm going to include a Mr Linky box at the end of this post. Anyone who's posted about the Lazy/Liberated/UnRuly letters etc can add their post or blog to this. Hopefully I've included it correctly.

I am going to direct you to a couple of blogs though. Michele of With Hearts and Hands wrote up an amazing, thoughtful, funny post. thank you!

Em is celebrating at Em Celebrates and is giving away copies of the book. But ya gotta hurry and get over there quick, because I think it ends soon. My apologies for not getting a blog post done sooner.

I mentioned the Flickr collection that Martingale has got going on for quilts/projects done with UnRuly Letters. To get your photo added, send an email to Karen at kburns@martingale-pub.com
It will go into the Martingale photostream AND into the Word Play Quilts set. Although it is a hoot - I just looked at a photo where I am labeled as a sample made by Julie. hee hee hee.

This whole publishing thing has been a learning experience. For instance, today is the day the book is officially out, but that doesn't mean that it's in stores yet. My LQS say it won't be available until the 30th and that's what some of the online bookstores say too. eek. I had no idea it took that long. For anyone who can't bear the wait, apparently if you order it directly from Martingale it comes a lot sooner since they have it right there right now.

Don't forget to add your link if you've done a post. To everyone else, enjoy seeing all the creative quilts.

I'm so anxious for my copy to get here. I almost never buy quilting books as soon as they're released, let alone pre order them, but I really really want this one!

It seemed the day would never come! Goodness the time has dragged. I've ordered Gwen and Freddy I to keep me going until yours arrives. That should be arriving any day now.

In the meantime, I'm brimming over with ideas.

Thanks for being such an inspiration and for the patience while we all fumbled about trying NOT to cut straight lines.

I think your work is very inspiring - your enthusiasm is contagious and you have worked really hard through the years (I follow you in my Google Reader since the time you lived in Paris), despite the title of your blog ;-) ! Congratulation on a job very well done!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME ME ME!!!

I ordered your book yesterday, YAHOO, and it won't be shipped until the 30th. But that's OK because I can get thru this Christmas mess and then have time for ME to enjoy it. THANK YOU SO MUCH for writing this!!! I love your work!

Rose Marie said...

Congrats on your book!!!! You did it!

My Winter quilt is one of my favourite quilts and am always eager to hang it up once the holidays are over.

I've been thinking of making one for SUMMER and thoughts have been dancing in my head for a while now.

Usually, my style of quilts are prim and proper but it was fun to break out and do something that was totally against my usual process.

You are such an inspiration for us.

I have it and it is awesome! Totally worth the wait! No time for sewing for myself now, but when I go on retreat in Feb, I'll start on my "If you can't be good, try being fabulous!" quilt.

I got out my "Reindeer Names" quilt out today in celebration! And you'd be proud of my "n's" in "Donner". I made them sorta backwards and I didn't fix them! You know me, it's hard to be unruly. Congratulations on the book release!

Here I am, a bit late to the party but here nonetheless. So pleased and happy to have been part of this wonderful project.

Hmmm. I linked but it seems to have sent people to a completely different post. I don't know why. Anyway, I have written and introduced my blog readers to your Word Play Quilts book! I am so excited!

While $147 is pretty funny, why would you put a link to a place where your book is sold cheaply before quilt shops have a chance to get it in stock?

Please support your local quilt shops and local business in general, or soon they will be gone......
