How is Time Going By so Quickly?

I would swear it's still October and yet somehow it's already the end of November? Where the heck did the last month go? Herewith a much belated posting of photos from Houston.

I love Janet Fogg's work (here's a previous one). She picks fun subjects and her machine quilting is gorgeous. This is most of Caddy and the Cakes (I didn't get a pic of the whole thing):

Janet Fogg also did this fun kitty photo on a bulletin board quilt, called Denim and Calico. Check out the quilting in the background:

My Rhino by Pam Holland:

Here's Siobhan looking at Barb Vedder's Lunar Pineapple (a real hoot of mixed fabrics):

One of my favorite quilts wasn't even in the show - it was over at an antique quilt vendor's booth. This looks like it has an eye in the middle of it to me:

and a shot of me and Sio in front of the booth:

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back into the groove of posting. I did have an excuse there for awhile, of husband actually being home, but he's away again for work. heavy sigh. I miss him and so does Pokey:

I gotta get cracking. more later.

Welcome back to the groove :-)
Thank you for sharing the quilt pics. I hadn't seen those. Love the rhino! And love to sweet Pokey peeking out between the socks!

Tonya,

Love the pictures of all the quilts. I am a Janet Fogg groupie. She spoke at our guild two years ago and it was incredible. Brought all her quilts and you could touch them and marvel at her quilting. Now that was sweet!

No need to apologise for your absence. We quite understand.

Sio looks really great! Glad the two of you had time together.

Love the photo of Pokey.

glad to have you back. I had been away for ages too and slowly getting back into the grove or 'normal' life...and now the holidays

Missed you! Mr. Rusty has been to the emergency cat hospital and seems to be on the mend. Last night he was playing with a cat nip toy and rolling down the hall at 4:00 am. Give Pokey and the gang a big hug from your biggest California fan.

Thanks for posting my pineapple quilt - I'm still waiting for it to come home, it's been on the road since June.

Will you be selling your book or should we go to Amazon or other book store? Autographed copies? No pressure just curious. Glad you and Sio had a good time - you both look great! Love Barb's quilt - how fun to see a quilt that you know the quilter! Hugs.

Thanks for sharing the great photos. I love that rhino, and the antique quilt does look like it's got an eye in it! (reminds me of your Egyptian stuff)

Glad to hear that you were having fun...time flies when that happens! I've been too busy to blog much too...November just flew by.

Pokey is too cute!

Inquiring minds want to know! What's the scoop on the acquisition of your book?? I can hardly wait any longer!

Lovely photos! I have not been able to do msuch sewing lately, due to our house move and consequent re-modelling. The house is too dirty to dare unpack my machine :D
