La Belle Epoque Carrousel

The beautiful La Belle Epoque Carrousel in the Tullieries Garden of Paris. I took these photos back in May.

I love this elephant:

You can't really see it, but these have real horse hair tails.

How absolutely gorgeous. Merry-G0-Rounds have been a favorite of mine since childhood.

What a treat!! I'm just getting back from church on a very soggy Sunday and as I sit here having lunch I've just been transported to Paris in the springtime.

Thank-you Tonya. Between you and Bonnie I get to "travel" a lot these days. (*LOL*)....

I love it, keep it up please.:c)

So beautiful! Thanks for a periodic window into your world! I always alert my daughter ,who has been to Paris, when you show photos of there. She's always been in love with Paris (even before she was able to visit).

I have some great memories of the La Belle Epoque Carrousel when visiting Paris some 15 years ago with my 2nd grade at Art School! I took lots of black and white pictures.
Thanks for sharing.

Looks like it was a beautiful day in May! Seeing the carousel reminds me of that movie "BIG" with Tom Hanks....does it play that kind of calliope music?

You will be happy to know that not only did I finish the wedding quilt and get it mailed off today, I finished the binding and sleeve and label on old tobacco road, and I finished the quilting on little amish crumbie..pics to come tomorrow!
