Eiffel Tower

We now have internet and tv again. Two workmen arrived at 8am on the dot and rewired all our phone connections. We are once again connected to the world.

The first day I was so miserable without the internet I went for a long walk to see the Eiffel Tower. It was a grey cloudy day so these are hardly good pics, but they fit my mood. I couldn't see much of the structure other than the top as I drew nearer. I walked through a park area and came out practically underneath the tower. I didn't wait in the long long lines to get to the top.

I walked home a different route. The sun finally peaked out just a bit.

Wow - do you see all the quilting line suggestions on the Eiffel Tower? Great inspiration

Your life sounds so exciting! Thanks for sharing so much of it with us. Glad you're re-connected to the world . . although some days I think I would get a lot more accomplished if I were disconnected!

Glad to see you're back. I get very crabby when our internet is down. It has been down for a couple of days until we got a new computer. I was under the Eiffel Tower but too chicken to go up with the rest of my family. I have a fear of heights. They laughed at me.

Good to see you're back in blogland again Tonya - despite having lived in Northern France we never actually got to Paris so I've never seen the Eiffel Tower in person - I believe they light it up beautifully at night.

That tower is so amazingly big, you can be right by one of the legs and have little sense of there being three other legs. I'm with Elaine--so many inspirationally quilty lines all over it.

Now Tonya ... you need to GET OVER IT! and settle down and b.r.e.a.t.h.e. You are in an incredible place with your DH and your furry kids and fresh bread and goodies and fabric and you don't HAVE to work outside the home. Everything is gonna be F.I.N.E. Walk some more; mellow out honey and look around you... you'll be honeymoonin in no time!
Have a pastry with choclate for me!
Hugs
Ruth

Oh wow! That first photo is frame worthy, even if it was a grey and cloudy day. Glad to hear that your tech issues were cleared up :D

Hi Tonya, I really like the first picture looking up at the tower. It looks so imposing with the grey sky behind it. I'm sure you'll work it into something. Much aloha, Dianna

You were correct. Amazon informed me today that they will not be able to send me a copy of 'Liberated Quilting'. I figured that was coming. It is disappointing as I am not about to spend $70 or $80 for a used copy.

Glad you have your technology issues worked out! One of these days take the time to go up to the top of the tower -- the view is fantastic! Even if you don't go all the way to the top, the middle observation deck is still spectacular.

Hey, just a note, but grey cloudy days are actually GOOD picture days. Otherwise, you can get quite a bit of glare. :D

Hugs,
Melinda
