Impressionist Pokey

I am having too much fun with one of the new computer programs that came with my Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet (a belated Christmas present to help me do the illustrations for quilting instructions). Anyway, Corel Painter Essentials is included in the package and you can use it to turn your photos into paintings. Here's an Impressionist take on Pokey. (I had to degrade the pic to turn it into a useable Blogger image - the original looks better than this)

I am having a blast. Think I've figured out how to make some nice artwork for the walls. And maybe once the novelty wears off I'll actually settle in and use the tablet...

That is gorgeous. You could print that out on canvasette paper and frame it.

So cool! You should think about printing some fabric with one of these photos....www.spoonflower.com.

And why not, Miss Pokey always makes such a beautiful impression on all of us when she graces the pages of your blog!

You know what you have to do now, don't you? Make impressions of her or her paw print art and turn them into quilts and donate them to a local no-kill animal shelter along with wonky lettering and some impressionistic fabric art of course. In all of your 'spare' time, of course ;)

I love how it picked up the blue in her eyes! These would make great postcards!

Your picture of Pokey is beautiful, and worthy of a print-out. What is this tablet thing of which you speak? Sounds very fun! I'll have to check it out!
