I'm digging into the archives to bring you unblogged photos from my trip to Amsterdam back in December. I'm having a hard time remember what I've blogged and what I haven't - so much for my memory.
So you read Flower Market and think there will be lots of photos of flowers. No, sorry, this is the only one. That just isn't what interests me...
Tacky souvenirs? Now that's more like it. Lots of miniature wooden shoes:

Speaking of cannabis, I did find it surprising to see it so publicly available even though I know it's legal there:
Not much to tell about goings on here. I've been hand quilting like crazy and am almost done with my current project - woohoo. I keep running into difficulties with Pokey and Habibi wanting to be on my lap and spending time with me. Sigh. I know, cute sweet loving cats, what a rough problem. Speaking of which, go check out the darling in Kate's life.
I love the pictures! Such great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures! Funny that just taking pictures of things that are not the normal buildings and tourist things give us the best inspirations. I know what you mean about not haveing much to blog about when you are hand quilting. I am doing that now my self. I have to let you know your hand quilting blog is what inspired me to do this. So it is all your fault. lol
ReplyDeleteNow I feel like travelling again. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThose little shoes would make great Christmas tree decorations! So cute...
ReplyDeleteI would SO have bought some of those house magnets! A whole row for the top of my fridge :- )
ReplyDeleteI'm with Magpie -- I'd have bought every type of those house magnets! What beautiful architecure -- and those are REAL shutters, how cool is that?
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! I love all these pics. and I think all the magnets and shoes are way too cool!
ReplyDeleteMaybe its the quilting that comes out in our photographs or maybe its the way we see everyday things that makes us photograph repetitive colors, shapes, and lines. These are the kinds of things that inspire my quilt ideas too.
ReplyDeleteLove those pictures of little wooden shoes and I would have bought a whole bunch of those row houses too! *sigh* I miss Europe!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the armchair tour!
