Liberty Blooms Encore

This is an encore presentation of Liberty Blooms, since Finn requested another chance to see it. I've previously written about it here.

I am totally whooped. I've spent the last couple of days helping my friend L with her packout. Made me realize I really need to start sorting stuff. She had things being sent off to three different destinations and we just have one, so that should make our lives easier at least. Can't imagine how tired I'd be right now if I'd actually had to lift or carry anything heavy.

Thanks for the great comments and email lately, but I just haven't had time to properly respond. I will try to in the next couple of days tho.

I love it. I guess I missed it the first time, probably before I was reading your blog or maybe before I discovered blogs at all!! Yep, I checked the date!

Anyway...good quilt!! Very much like the liberated look. I'm dying to find a project to try out this more "liberated needleturn stitch". Perfect choice!

I wasn't here last year, so I'm happy you reposted it. Looks great!

It is a very nice quilt - i love it. as far as packouts... we were dreading ours so much that we elected to stay another three years instead of having to move... I will be dreading that packout though, but will slowly be donating or trashing a bunch of things between now and the time we are scheduled to move.

oh -forgot to ask - could you explain more (or point to the post) that talks about the "liberated needleturn stitch"? Thanks!

I was going to ask the same thing....and then found it here: http://lazygalquilting.blogspot.com/2005/07/running-stitch-applique.html

Beautiful up close, too! Tonya, if this is your definition of "imperfect" then sign me up!

Hey Ton, looks just as good as before...AND I just noticed the detail inside the circle flowers. Is that beads or french knots??
You used such great fabrics..makes me happy to look at it.

Ya, I was wondering if the packout reality wasn't going to hit you pretty soon. After following along with Sio's...all you gals have my deepest sympathy!!

I really like the combination of plaids and polkadots, stars and solids. What size is it?

I like the non-traditional-ness of the colors of the flowers. You mean to tell me the quilt police don't come after you when you make stems and leaves that AREN'T green???
