Only the birth of a baby could bring me to quilting although my granny and mother when she retired were talented quilters of the more traditional variety.

I'm kind of doing my first project seat of the pants style. It will definitely be a one of the kind.

And I love the show Chuck. She's a terrible actress and only has one look for every emotion. Blech. Louis is kick ass and I could look at the Green Arrow shirtless, all day!! I just watched the first two episodes of True Blood on HBO. It's fricking fantastic!! Like Twilight, except much better and for adults. It's about a community that must try to survive after a major terrorist nuclear attack. I didn't watch at first -- wasn't interested in yet another cut-rate piece of hysteria -- but I gave it a chance after I read some blog buzz about it.

Turns out Jericho contains genuine acting, an actual plot with characters that are not cut out of cardboard. There are realistic moral dilemmas that would arise post-apocalypse, and each character gets to express a legitimate point of view about them.

In other words: riveting. Naturally, it was cancelled.Sassenachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08901658957162167373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14046597.post-32835913940284624792008-11-17T06:06:00.000-05:002008-11-17T06:06:00.000-05:00Pretty picture of Lily...I couldn't watch Sweeney ...Pretty picture of Lily...
I couldn't watch Sweeney Todd either...The music drove us batting! Did you ever see My Favorite Wife-has both Cary Grant and Irene Dunn it it as well. I just love Cary Grant! I have never see Pushing Daisies, but I guess I should check that one out sometime. Have you heard of Life on Mars? It's interesting. Cop from the present somehow wakes up in 1973, but occasionally gets glimpses of the present or even future (micro robots) and is trying to figure out what is going on. Stars Michael Imperioli as a the perfect seventies smarmy guy, and Harvey Keitel as exactly the kind of character you'd expect from Harvey Keitel.Kristin Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05955546754675680404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14046597.post-79513956932242404222008-11-15T21:12:00.000-05:002008-11-15T21:12:00.000-05:00Don't tell me Pushing Daisies is in danger of bein...Don't tell me Pushing Daisies is in danger of being cancelled...it's my favorite show on tv!

UrsulaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14046597.post-80982066260830535342008-11-15T20:53:00.000-05:002008-11-15T20:53:00.000-05:00Oh there is my pretty girl Lilly!Oh there is my pretty girl Lilly!Quilts And Pieceshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02043640520513261597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14046597.post-90280929294198301632008-11-15T19:22:00.000-05:002008-11-15T19:22:00.000-05:00One thing I would suggest for beginners in this ty...One thing I would suggest for beginners in this type of piecing is to use fabrics that look the same on both sides, such as quilter's cotton (Kona is a bit coarse and frays more easily). That way, they don't have to concentrate on right side/wrong side issues and rip out the piece they got on backwards. Batiks and handpaints work this way too, but are more expensive for a beginner.wlstarnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01170024789406711680noreply@blogger.com
