An international juried and judged exhibition of quilts
Explore the use of text in this contest and exhibition from International Quilt Festival. Entries are quilts that speak to the theme. Any techniques—piecing, appliqué, embroidery, photo transfer, wholecloth and/or manipulated fabric, etc.—may be used as long as they are appropriate for the quilt (consisting of three layers) and the theme. Quilts must be made specifically for the contest and must not have been published in books, calendars, magazines, newsletters, websites, blogs, or any other form of publication prior to November 2011.
Each work must measure at least 48 inches (122 cm) and no more than 92 inches (234 cm) on each side.
Registration is now open. The last day to register is July 1, 2011.
Me again. Eek that's not much time. Last year there weren't any UnRuly Letters. How about this year?
More info is available here.

Unruly letters would RULE! Can't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve. Your are the muse you know!
guess that counts out anything I've done. what's wrong with having it on blogs?
I wonder how literal they are going to be about the blog stuff. I have one that I have mentioned in several posts but not finished. If I finish it(quilt it) would it be disqualified b/c part of the top had been shown?
Oh Pokey, Pokey, Pokey. Such a face!
Wow. How can you lose! :-)
Love those blue eyes on little Pokey!
Cool theme but they lost me with "Quilts must be made specifically for the contest." Homey don't play that.
Well that "rules" out Family Trees. Are you going to enter?
Oh Pokey - viens!
hmm...interesting. strange rules though. i look forward to see what you make!
This ought to bring out some great quilts. You're entering, aren't you, Queen of Letters?
Oh, definitely make something for this! It's like the contest was made for you (except the no sharing beforehand part).
Well, they are probably going to get some big surprises this year
Doesn't feel like much time now does it!
This will be a great opportunity for Unruly Quilters to show what they can do! I'll look out the details.
I see all your followers are gone too.
If you figure out how to fix this please let me know.....I sure miss all my smiling followers :0).
Happy sewing
How fun!
So, no doubt you'll be showing us your entry AFTER the November deadline? I hope so.
I hope you thoroughly enjoy your planning and creating on this. :)
I just bought your book. It may very well be the first quilt book that I read front to back and actually use the technique. This is exactly what I need. Freedom from all those little triangles and boxes whose seems must meet perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
