Hope Quilt

I finished my Hope quilt for the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. A bit later than I'd have liked, but at least I stopped my procrastination long enough to get it finished.

Yesterday I sewed the binding on Rumspringa too, even though I haven't finished quilting it yet. Figured I might as well since I was in the mood and All the outer bits were already quilted. This way the batting won't keep oozing out either - this is the quilt I that I didn't have quite enough batting and had to tuck in a bit extra around the edges.

Rain, rain, horrible rain. sigh.

I finished the first disc of Wonderfalls. I'd never caught the show before (I was out of the country when it was broadcast in 2004) but since it was by Bryan Fuller, the creater of Dead Like Me and my beloved but now unfortunately cancelled Pushing Daisies, it was worth a try. I'm enjoying it although the lead character is annoying me and Lee Pace isn't in it nearly enough.

The little hope quilt is great! I have your Dear Santa as my wallpaper this month. I have really been studying your handquilting and it is fabulous. I love all the little extras you added like the sleigh with cat and reindeer. You are a genius when it comes to filling in all the small spaces.

I love this quilt. The letters look like they're rising up, just as hope uplifts us all.

it looks great. I found the hardest part of the challenge was getting the quilts into the right kind of mailbox and schlepping off to the post office. obviously my strengths are in quiltmaking, not shipping. I love the title of Rumspringa. You do know to roll your Rs when you say it, right? I'm not Amish, but I did grow up speaking a German dialect.

I have truly enjoyed your site everyday for the last few years.
I went to your sponsor site and WOW!!!!
I now have a new addiction.
I think I thank you?
I love the site and will be one of their new best customers, thank you again for all the inspiration.
I have to tell you how much I love the pictures of your babies(meow)(and your quilts and of your travels)I save them all to my computer and use them as my screen saver. My Grandkids know all the kitties names and my office mates know them as well.
Please continue to keep us in your life when you return to Florida.

It's as happy as hope should be. I like it. And once again you've bested me on the TV shows. I haven't heard of Wonderfalls, but I liked Dead Like Me, so I'll give it a try.

Better late than never!

I love the colours - they really do give hope.

Rain - tell me about it! I've never seen so much water! Flooding everywhere. Count your lucky stars tht you're in Paris and not in the middle of nowhere!

Have they really cancelled Pushing?

Funny, I was just finishing mine today and wondering if I should "confess" that I was so late getting it done! I should know by now, you aren't a big Rule Enforcer. :-)
