The neighbors are watching

Amazingly, this looks like a house that could live over at Finn's - what with the eyes peering out at you. I haven't yet decided what, or if, I'm going to quilt something in the grass. The eyes should be looking at something, but don't know what. I keep wanting to do spiders, but this isn't supposed to be a Halloween quilt...

Speaking of houses, Sandra did a bunch of fun ones and since she now has a digital camera, we get to see them as well as some of her other quilts.

Lily was on a tear last night. She wouldn't settle down and go to sleep. She was darting in and out of the bedroom eeping (that's the screechy sound she makes). She was keeping Pokey awake as well, so she had to come in the bedroom and start rustling around. I finally picked Lily up and tossed her out; Pokey went voluntarily. I closed the door and fell right to sleep. Slept thru Lily scratching at the door and hollering at us, but it kept my sweetie up for another half hour.

Hope we don't have to go through that again. I mean look at this, the kittens can be so sweet:

The two darling girls all curled up in the bathrobe box from a couple of weeks ago.

I haven't been getting much sewing done lately. I've been playing with my fabric, sorting it, deciding what I still like and what I need. I was amazed at some of my great fabric that I'd completely forgotten I had. Oops.

Good kitties..so sweet as they sleep..absolutely NO trace of the bad kitty behavior ..LOL.. I love the house with the "eyes", what a great fussy cut YOU made with that one!!!
Personally I think spiders are always appropiate..I mean, can we dis "spiderman" the rest of the year??? NO. Spiders are year round thingys..*G* Altho, the eyes do seem to just be checking out what's pasing by the house.....

Oh, the kitties are so sweet! My Maggie gets in a tear every once in a while. I can get so mad at her and the next day she is back to her old self.
How about those eyes watching a bird outside? My cats are always up on the windowsills checking the birds out.

What a cute cat pic. Little sweeties! How about a two-headed spider? I mean, it's supposed to be an alien quilt, right? Or a dog or cat that looks like it's from the jetsons?

Maybe it's just that time of the month for Lily. ;) Or should I say that "day" of the month? :P

At least when they're sweet again, it makes up for all the naughty deeds!

What a great post to greet me as I'm trying to get back into the swing of visiting.

I love the eyeballs. What a great smile you gave me. And then the precious furry babies all curled up together.

Thank you for such a fun post.

Your quilting stitches are SO TINY!!! and NEAT! The eyes could be looking at a bird pulling a worm out of the grass? and what a gorgeous kitty photo :-)

LOL that your cat has the same name as me!

Love the sky on that house with the googly eyes. Since it's an alien quilt, couldn't they be 'eyeing' off a lollipop or something?

Tonya spiders are always appropriate!! Every crazy quilt had one in Victorian times for good luck, so think of those who'd live in your houses as needing lots of luck to make sense of their alien world and make all the non-halloween spiders you want :-)

I thought of a cockroach. I can't say why, but aren't they connected to aliens and such? No? Well, just a thought. The cat picture cracked me up- like kids, so sweet when they're sleeping!

I cn't believe those kitties could ever be bad! Isn't it fun to shop your own stash once and awhile...can't tell you how many times I've found that I've bought the same fabric twice that way...

(of course I love the house...)
